Evaluating genetic variants in Polycystic Kidney Diseases

The current study is evaluating the contribution of the variant of uncertain significance (VUS) to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) by using genomic data.

Scientific Questions Being Studied

The current study is evaluating the contribution of the variant of uncertain significance (VUS) to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) by using genomic data.

Project Purpose(s)

  • Disease Focused Research (polycystic kidney disease)
  • Methods Development
  • Control Set
  • Ancestry

Scientific Approaches

We will compare the SNPs prevalence and the clinical characteristic of PKD in different populations.

Anticipated Findings

We will screen/identify the suspicious SNPs that will impact the progress of PKD and improve precision diagnosis and care for PKD patients.

Demographic Categories of Interest

This study will not center on underrepresented populations.
