Duplicate of Skills Assessment Training Notebooks For Users (v7)
Scientific Questions Being Studied
This workspace contains multiple notebooks that assess users' understanding of the workbench and OMOP. These notebooks are meant to help users check their knowledge not only on Python, R, and SQL, but also on the general data structure and data model used by the All of Us program.
Project Purpose(s)
- Educational
Scientific Approaches
There are no scientific approach used in this workspace because it is meant for educational purposes only. We will cover all aspects of OMOP, and hence will use most datasets available in the workbench.
Anticipated Findings
We do not anticipate to have any findings. Instead, we are educating people on the use of the workbench and the common data model OMOP used by the program.
Demographic Categories of Interest
This study will not center on underrepresented populations.

Scientific Questions Being Studied
Overall Research Question
Is there an association between perceived healthcare discrimination and key demographic factors such as race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, language, and country of origin?
Sub-questions
- Are individuals with certain demographic factors more likely to perceive higher levels of healthcare discrimination?
- Do historically marginalized populations report higher levels of discrimination in healthcare?
Project Purpose(s)
- Population Health
- Social / Behavioral
- Methods Development
Scientific Approaches
Methodology and Data Analysis
We will conduct a multivariable regression analysis, with self-reported health status as the key outcome, and demographic factors and perceived discrimination as the independent variables. The primary independent variables will be the discrimination factors, which can be analyzed either individually or combined. We will control for all demographic variables in this analysis.
A similar analysis will be conducted focusing on healthcare use. If available, data on whether respondents have seen a doctor in the past year will be used as the outcome variable, with the same independent and control variables.
Anticipated Findings
Implications
Findings from this study can be used to raise awareness and promote discussions around the topic of discrimination in healthcare. Healthcare providers need to be mindful of these issues to ensure that all patients feel valued and welcomed, promoting their willingness to seek care and return for future appointments.

Scientific Questions Being Studied
I hope to better understand the data in "All of Us" and learn how to pull variables and familiarize myself with the system. In the future I hope to use this familiarization to open a new workbench to address disparities on how treatment is given to prostate cancer patients.
Project Purpose(s)
- Educational
- Ancestry
Scientific Approaches
As I familiarize myself with this data looking at specifically prostate cancer patients and various variables. I want to learn how to download and access the data using Python and will be writing variables I want to look at in Microsoft Word.
Anticipated Findings
I want to learn/ practice using the program.
Demographic Categories of Interest
This study will not center on underrepresented populations.
