Exploratory Workspace for health Disparities
Scientific Questions Being Studied
I'm exploring the data to see if I can aggregate data at the state level to make comparisons between states about differences in care quality and access that may be associated with race and gender. This can inform our knowledge about how healthcare disparities differ by region.
I intend to use some type of regressions with race/gender as independent variables and indicators of quality of care as dependent variables if data exploration shows that I can group data by state or another higher level unit of analysis beyond individuals.
Findings would show the concentration of key disparities in perceived healthcare quality across the United States. Explaining any variation could incorporate research from health services researchers and historians about different regions approaches to health care delivery.
