PTC vs BMI in Individuals of Ages 58-67
Scientific Questions Being Studied
The specific scientific questions we aim to study and analyze are:
1) What is the correlation between possessing the PTC tasting receptor and BMI?
2) For the following age demographic, what potential risks are induced by a higher BMI? (On the supposition that they are correlated/related to one another)
The scientific approaches we plan to use for our study are datasets containing :
Person ID from demographic
Date of Birth from demographic
Sex at Birth from demographic
Person ID from BMI
Measurement as a number from BMI
We are performing a genomic extraction, additionally.
We anticipate to find a correlation between tasters and a higher BMI. We are looking to see how our demographic is potentially at risk to disorders due to a higher BMI.
Demographic Categories of Interest
This study will not center on underrepresented populations.
