Scientific Questions Being Studied

To understand cancer screening, testing and treatment seeking among persons living with HIV. As the population of persons living with HIV is aging, the potential for development of other chronic conditions, particularly cancer, is increasing. Therefore, efforts to understand factors associated with access to timely cancer screening, testing, and treatment are warranted.

Scientific Approaches

We will utilize data from the (1) EHR domain on conditions and procedures; (2) Surveys Questions on basics, overall, lifestyle, and personal medical history.

Anticipated Findings

This study will provide information on potential disparities in access to cancer screening which can, in turn, be used to provide information to develop interventions that promote timely cancer screening, testing and treatment among persons living with HIV.
