Sepsis analysis

I will use the data to study statistical and machine learning methods to detect the onset and outcomes of sepsis.

Scientific Questions Being Studied

I will use the data to study statistical and machine learning methods to detect the onset and outcomes of sepsis.

Project Purpose(s)

  • Methods Development

Scientific Approaches

Sepsis is a life-threatening illness where early detection and treatment leads to reduction in mortality and morbidity. I will use the conditions, vital signs, medications and laboratory results data to design, train and test statistical and machine learning methods to detect the onset and outcomes of patient with sepsis.

Anticipated Findings

A statistical or machine learning model that can accurately detect the onset of sepsis and predict the clinical outcomes of the patients.
