Scientific Questions Being Studied
We are planning on looking at social determinants of tearduct blockage or excess lacrimation. We could also look at treatment approaches.

We will do retrospective allofus data review. Run statistical analysis on the data on the allofus notebook.
Anticipated Findings
We are anticipating socioeconomic disparities in presentation and treatment of tearduct blockage and excess lacrimation.

Controlled TierHealth disparities in periocular malignancies
Scientific Questions Being Studied
The goal of this study is to identify social and medical factors associated with periocular malignancies. Identifying and addressing health disparities can minimize the progression to severe outcomes, such as loss of eye, which have a detrimental effect on patients’ quality of life.

We plan to run a case-control study using electronic health records and sociodemographic data from All of Us dataset. We will use R or Python to run our analysis and look for trends.
