Scientific Approaches

I will use supervised machine learning methods, including XGBoost, to get performance metrics on a 13 feature model. I will then use SHAP scores to predict the risk of patients having a hospital based intervention.

Anticipated Findings

I expect to find that those patients with a hospital based intervention will be stratified into high risk categories and those without will be stratified into low risk categories.

We plan to use various machine learning algorithms from SciKit Learn to predict those with onset of colorectal cancer by monitoring complete blood counts.

Anticipated Findings

We hope to find that by monitoring complete blood counts that we will be able to improve screening for individuals with a higher predictive risk of developing colorectal cancer.

I will use a restrospective cohort to see how many women were given IV tylenol at any point during pregnancy or 3 months from last menstrual cycle

Anticipated Findings

I expect that pregnant women were given IV tylenol and there were no additional adverse outcomes compared to women who were not pregnant or given IV morphine

Pacemaker and ICD Remote Monitoring

The goal of this study is to understand how remote monitoring of pacemakers and ICDs were impacted during COVID-19. The hypothesis is there is an increase in remote monitoring due to telehealth medicine during COVID-19.

I will use All of Us Research CPT codes for pacemakers and ICDs from 2019 - 2021 for those with pacemaker or ICD implants in 2018.

Anticipated Findings

I hope to better understand the frequency and rate of remote monitoring pre and during pandemic of pacemakers and ICDs and understand COVID-19 effect on remote monitoring.
